In my decade of sales experience, I’ve heard the same misconceptions time and time again:

These myths are far too common, often parroted by even the most senior salespeople and leaders in businesses both small and large.

Sales is one of the few careers with incredible earning potential without requiring any formal training. Because of this, bad advice spreads easily. Well-intentioned leaders often pass down misguided guidance without realizing it.

Just Google “sales tips and tricks” and enjoy falling down the rabbit hole of conflicting information, get-rich-quick schemes, and scripts promising the “perfect way to overcome every objection every time.”

It’s not our fault—sales culture has set us up for failure with no clear direction and a fundamental misunderstanding of human nature.
