Ryan Henry’s Speaking Rider

Revised July, 2025

Thank you for considering me as a speaker at your event. I look forward to the opportunity energize and inspire your audience.

Here are some important items to ensure that I’m able to give your audience the best possible presentation.

Travel, Accommodations & Expenses

I am located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Unless I am scheduled to speak before 9:00 AM, after 7:00 PM, or the event spans multiple days, I usually do not require lodging for events less than 50 miles from Indianapolis.

When speaking more than 50 miles outside of Indianapolis, I will plan to arrive the day before in order to be fully rested and well-prepared the day of your event. When speaking or attending an event later than 7:00 PM, I will stay overnight and depart the next morning.

At this time, I am only accepting bookings within the United States.

Driving: For events less than 250 miles away from Indianapolis, Indiana; I prefer to drive myself. My milage ($0.70 per mile as of July, 2025) and all parking fees must be covered.

Flying: For events more than 250 miles away from Indianapolis, Indiana; a round-trip flight with two checked bags must be booked. In most cases, I will be departing from Indianapolis International Airport. When available, nonstop flights must be booked. I will need transportation from the airport to the hotel and back.

Event Registration: I enjoy attending the full events I am invited to speak at. This allows me to find fresh inspiration, learn new skills and an opportunity to connect with the guests of your event. A full access registration or ticket is required.

Meals & Expenses: A daily per diem must be provided to cover breakfast, lunch and dinner for each day.

Lodging: If there is a hotel connected to the facility your event is hosted at, I prefer this option. If there is not a hotel connected to the facility, please book a 3-star or higher hotel with reliable Wi-Fi, and all room expenses including taxes and incidentals covered. I will not provide a credit card at the hotel. If the hotel is not connected to the venue, I will need transportation provided from the hotel to the venue and back.

Speaking Fees

For-Profit Organizations: I do charge a speaking fee that is determined by the cost of admission, number of guests in attendance and whether my presentation will be recorded and distributed. Once an agreed amount is reached, a deposit of 50% is due immediately to guarantee the date and full payment is due 14 days before the scheduled event.

Nonprofit Organizations: In most cases, I will reduce or waive my speaking fee for nonprofit organizations who have a mission and primary focus on economic opportunity or entrepreneurship. Please contact me with a copy of your nonprofit’s legal status, your mission statement and areas of focus for consideration. All other travel, lodging and expenses will still be required.

  • Rotary International: I will usually waive my speaking fee for events hosted by Rotary. All other travel, lodging and expenses are still required.

Stage & Technical Requirements

Microphone: When speaking to a audience of 20 or more, a wireless microphone with fresh batteries must be provided. I prefer to use a lapel microphone, allowing my hands to be free during the presentation.

Stage: When speaking to a audience of 20 or more, a raised platform where I can see the entire audience during my presentation should be provided. I will not use a podium, instead walking around the stage to better connect with the audience.

Slideshow: I usually keep the number of slides for my presentation to a minimum but will sometimes use them to help illustrate a point. I exclusively use Microsoft PowerPoint in 16:9 high-resolution format. I will send my slides to your designated point-of-contact in advance of my arrival. I will need access to a clicker to advance my own slides, and a screen visible from the stage.

Timer: To keep my presentation on-track and timely, I will need to have a timer visible from the stage showing the remaining time in my presentation.

Technical Rehearsal: Whenever possible, I like to arrive before the event begins to discuss details with your technical team. This gives us an opportunity to test any slides used and make the appropriate adjustments to my microphone settings.

Recording & Live Streams: If my presentation is recorded or streamed online, I must be given a copy of the video with full rights to use and distribute the recording as I see fit. This could include marketing, display on my website, demonstration of abilities or any other purpose.
